Most of the Restomod C2 builds on this Forum have 1.5" flared rear fenders with stock front fenders.
Here is a body that has a 1.5" flared fender but if you look closely at door to rear fender mate, you will see that it more closely resembles that of a stock body where belt line of door and rear fender meet up. You will also see that the amount of exposed tire on front side of wheel well is like that of a C2 with stock tires.
Door to rear fender mating body belt line with 1.5" flare.
Looking down side of car, 1.5" flare with P335/25ZR20 tires, 13.5" wide and stock front fender.
View from rear of car, bottom of rear fenders pulled out for tire coverage.
How the door's belt line was left stock about 3/4 of way across was by cutting door's skin to allow it to move outward and then cut the rear fender so that it can be flares outward so that it resembles stock rear fender were the it meets door. Good body man required to figure out were to cut and me and a piece of string to show him what I wanted to try if I ever built another C2. Reason I bought this project from owner was Shop had done this for to car for the prior owner of it.
By the way, all the cuts to door skin to make this work are not shown. Using paint stir sticks is not required, and cut open soda cans held in place with screws can be ued in place of masking tape to hold skin in place, as well as what ever like flat blade screw drivers, paint scrapers, etc. laying around are that will work are optional...
After the door skin was re-glassed back to door frame, the rear fender had to be cut loose from jam, and re-flared outward, including top blister to mate up with new door skin's location to take jog out of aftermarket flared fender where it has to turn back in and mate up with door's skin. This includes the upper blister on fender. Then glassed back in to door jam. Doing this allow you to bring front wheel well tire coverage back as close to stock as you want it to be also.
Doing all this just depends on look your after. Rear end wise it can make car have a more Pro Street drag look to it, even more so the wider and taller the tire you use. This car will most likely have 12.40" wide, 28.62" dia tires on rear and 13.44" wide 26.62 tall tires are and easy fit as well as 13.5" wide rim.

2021 C2 of the Year Finalist - Modified
actually the readers digest condensed version of the car: it used a wrecked, nearly new (under 300 miles) 1991 corvette chassis and running gear, mated to a C2 corvette birdcage. wheelbase was 2 inch's shorter on the c4, so the front fenders were modified, as well as lots of other things to make it all work. this was done long before custom chassis were around for these cars.
