Default Kitchen stuff absolutely required to rebuild a car

Well, I needed fast drying of my bellhousing, so that one went into the oven.
And then I used breadcrumbs to remove a pilot bushing out of the cranck after having seen this video
. 'Piece of a cake' to get it out is the appropriate (kitchen) terminology

I've heard of "Beer Can Chicken", but that's the wrong way to make it!

When we remodeled our kitchen a few years ago the old sink, oven, and cook top went into a corner of our shop. They do come in handy.

Well, there are special tools to extract the bushings, but buying that and having them sent 'express' (I am in a hurry) over to my place would have cost me 100$ or so...Worth the slice of bread

I use grease to get them out. No bread around here, I spent it on the car.

Yep, I'm old. Do they even make Parkay anymore? Or did they find out it was really industrial waste?

Default Ducks

Great post. Looks like there was enough pulled out to feed to the ducks. Jerry

Read about it, never did it - there was 'manifold chicken' too. . . The idea was to wrap up a chicken breast in some aluminum foil and toss it on the exhaust manifold during a long drive. After a time (forgot how long) the manifold chicken was ready. .. Seems a little tacky

Don't let your wife see you using these:

Strainer/calander for cleaning small parts.

Spatulas/knives for scraping gaskets.

Pots/pans to clean parts in and "temporarily" store of wet parts (like my grease gun).

"Pam" spray for Holley gaskets and other gaskets that you want to easily release.

Obviously, the oven for drying/curing paint and the sink for washing things.

The washing machine for cleaning rags. (Makes a real mess in there.)

Too much air in Wonder Bread.

I dunno, it certainly was "sludge" of some kind.......... These days I use "I can't believe its not Butter" - as recommended by my cardiologist.....

As long as you don't put peanut butter or marmelade on the bread, this method is less messy than the grease variant
