Has anyone seen this car recently
This is the Corvette that got me involved with Corvettes, over 40 years ago. What a ride it has been, and still is...
Anyway, this car was last seen in the Orlando, FL area. It was at a used car lot on Colonial Drive in Orlando sometime around 1977-1978.
This is the car that I fell in love with, and dearly wish I could locate. This is then one that started it all for me.
I have no idea what the VIN is, or what the car currently looks like. I believe that the car's front end was restored to original looking condition in 1976 or so. It was involved in a minor front end collision, and I was told the owner was taking that opportunity to put the original style fiberglass back on it.
Anyway, if you know where this car is, or might be, please do let me know....

When i bought my '61, back in 1974, when i was barely 17YO, the guy that sold it to me, who was 21-22 at the time, told me "if you can help it, never sell this car, I sold my first Corvette (a '58), two years after I bought it, I was 15, I bought the car, got it running,a nd drove it for couple years, and made a few hundred $$ profit, and now I wish I had never sold it".
(You could get your learners drivers license in MT at 14 YO, and full driving privileges at 15 YO back then).
Good luck on your quest. Someone may remember, but after a car changes hands a few times, the history gets lost.

It never hurts to ask but the defining characteristics of this car are probably long erased in a restoration or two. Or it was neglected or wrecked.
If you want to look for it, try finding an old groups of Corvette owners from the area. Much better bet than the forum (though the forum is free for the posting and I wish you luck!)

I agree you should see who might remember it in that area - especially with a unique paint job like that.
I have some slides from when I did the Corvette Club thing in the late 1960's - early 1970's. It's amazing how some of the names come back with one look at a given car. (OK, others not so much, I'll admit! )
Keep in mind also, that in those days back before Al Gore invented the internet, cars tended to stay closer to home. Find some old-time Corvette guys or even just "car guys" in Orlando and I bet you'll get some nibbles. Just don't put it off - even someone in their late teens back then would be in his 50's now, and time waits for nobody.

Worth searching for. Still a pretty cool looking car, love the wheels. Insert not so much.

Very cool car, IMO. I hope you track it down!
