If it were me, as a reward once the engine is broken in, I'd let Donny do the first burnout.

I don't think the question has come up in this thread, but was the engine that blew up the original engine? Or was this always a NOM Corvette to the present owner? I would think that might have some play in whatever legal discussions are happening with the shop that essentially destroyed the engine through their negligence.
