1957 accessory fuse panel
Anyone have a good pic of a accessory fuse panel that is installed?
The AIM I have does not have a complete schematic of the 57, and the schematic from Electric Limited, dose not make sense. The LL schematic shows the pink accessory wire, the tan parking brake alarm and the red wire that goes to the horn relay and regulator going to the fuse panel.
Of course, the heater wire goes there as well, but that position is labeled and the LL schematic does not show accessories.
There is one main buss that feeds most of the loads, and I presume that the pink accessory wire feeds that buss, so the heater, and emergency brake alarm do not work if the key is off. Does the horn also not work when they key is off? If not, how is it hooked and which fuse position does it use? My panel has a lot of labeling on it, but nothing that says horn or regulator. It could be a passenger car panel, as it has a fuse location for underhood light, spot light as well as several other fuses that were not used on Corvettes, but I just assumed that they used an off-the-shelf panel from passenger cars.

John, here's one of mine, but I don't recall which one - it was almost 20 years ago when I did my 57's.

Well, that explains a lot, sort of!
I wonder why the red wire from the horn relay running to the one terminal all by itself? anybody got any ideas? I was right that the pink accessory wire feeds the buss that supplies the heater and the radio. This car is a radio delete car, so the only wire I fuse is the heater. That red wire up there all by itself on the fog lamp terminal still bugs me, but I guess it is for some other accessory that a car might be supplied with.
