Which upper rad hose for my '65?
I'm replacing all the hoses and belts on my '65 roadster. I bought the hoses from NAPA. The new upper hose has the single bend, like the Paragon #1682. But it doesn't work for this car. I probably have the wrong intake or stat housing?
From this picture can anyone tell me which upper hose I need? I prefer NAPA for this non numbers matching car, especially since my wife works for Balkamp and gets a BIG discount!

This isn't the best pic of the 'curved' thermo housing you need for a 65 300/327 but it should help. The housing number is: 3827368 but the casting numbers aren't very well defined so keep that in mind. Here's the link to Zip's listing for that thermo housing. http://www.zip-corvette.com/catalog/...category/6220/

Thanks Mike! That housing looks like it would accept the hose I bought. I will eventually be installing the aluminum 350 HP Winters intake (#3844461) I got when I bought this car. Would this stat housing be correct for that intake?

Dave - Unfortunately...no. That curved cast iron thermo housing used on the 300/327 was the same used on the 66 350 horse aluminum intake, #490 but not on the previous aluminum intakes used in 64/65.
Here's a shot of that thermo housing on my 66 L79 Coupe.
And here's a pic of the #461 intake I have on my 61 Vette.
You can see the bolt holes are in a different position and the thermo housing used on the #461 intake is just slightly different from the one in your pic but you might be able to use it anyway.

Thanks for the pictures Mike, it's a big help!
I'll pick up the curved housing so I can flush this all out and put on my new hoses, I'm looking for a test drive real soon...
This winter when I put the 461 heads and intake on it, I'll worry about the housing for the 461.
