Hi Guys, I can't quite make out the trim tag for paint color. Can anyone decipher the whole tag for me? The care is a 65 coupe with tan vinyl interior and Marlboro maroon exterior. I can't tell if the tag is M-M or something else. Maybe its UU? Which would be red.

The '65 codes you are looking for are:
- Marlboro Maroon - MM
- Rally Red - UU

Saddle (tan) interior code is 420 in vinyl and 421 in leather.

Can you post a picture of the trim tag?

Edit - he did, after I posted. The angle of the pic makes it tough to tell if it's a U or W, but I think its a (an?).....U, at least as compared to the M in "TRIM""...................?

I just did...and can't tell what the paint code is.

For 1965 AOSmith built bodies, MM is Milano Maroon. UU is Rally Red. Most folks won't paint a red car maroon, so it is probably MM Milano Maroon . This is different than Marlboro Maroon which is a 1967 color.

Tan vinyl interior code is 420.

EDIT: Per the Trim Tag pic you just posted, the original color is MM = Milano Maroon.
