As many have already stated...been there, done that. Glad you're OK. My Dad would tell me that making mistakes is how we learn. Making the same mistake twice is just plain stupid...and, there is no cure for stupid. Something tells me you will never let it happen again. Now, go get the keys from your Dad and put some more miles on her

Nice thing about this, I have my own keys and dad has no issues about that. The funny thing is, my mom jumped all over me, because I openly tell her and my sisters I don't like them driving it because I don't want them to hurt it. I have not heard from my sisters yet, but i am sure I am going to get hit pretty hard when I do. All I can do is take it because I deserve it

Uh - oh.............. all you can do now is just stand up and "take it like a man"! The worst part is, with women and family involved, you KNOW you're gonna hear about this repeatedly for YEARS to come........

Such incidents become family legends....

The story will be retold until you are an old man -- and yes you WILL laugh about it in years to come...

I would give a lot to hear my departed Dad b!tch me out one more time for some foolishness or other I put him through in my youth !!

In 10 years, it won't be just a mailbox, but a rabid elephant that jumped out in front of you leaving you with the decision of hitting the elephant, a puppy, or a brand new mailbox...

There's a thread working in Off Topic now about a guy's neighbor who is overseas, and his kid has been flogging hard on the guy's new-to-him Lambo. No wreck yet, and the CFOT member contacted the dayd who reamed his son a new one from far away. But it sounds like the kid was hitting triple digits around the area so it had the potential for tragedy.

....I was just thinking back to the first time I lost it in my 66. A few rain drops, a few drinks, and a heavy foot had me fishtailing up onto a lawn! It's not the car or the IRS to me, it's the positraction and the power.
But I'll tell you, after building it, and racing all around with it, after 15 years of having it, I could put that thing into a four wheel drift around corners, full power, under complete control. And nothing feels quite like that brother.

Well, there IS one other thing - as evidenced by your avatars.......

I'm 32.. Spun my dads original paint big block camaro around a time or two.. Of course this is after he died, would love for him to chew me out!! He cussed me one time for sittin in it!! Sitting in it.. He yelled get outta my car!! Miss you dad.. Oh and he played his for me a lot too..

The street was deserted late Friday night
We were buggin' each other while we sat out the light
We both popped the clutch when the light turned green
You should have heard the whine from my screamin' machine

Well I finally received the new mirror and it was damaged, so now I wait longer.

Talked to dad for the first time since the incident yesterday and funny as hell thing. He asked me why I didn't put the original mirror back on? Well Dad that would have been a good idea. I am thinking he has been there a time or two as well. He did ask me about the big scratch down the side to try to trip me up. Did my home work and assured him there is no scratch. It is all behind us now
