Its all about the solidity of the frame; integrity of the wiring and originality of the body...
Look for frame corrosion at the rear tire kick-ups, rear crossmember and look carefully at the body -- make sure it doesn't have a new front clip put on incorrectly or other such nonsense... Put up the soft top and make sure it latches and fits properly, or, do the same with the hardtop if that's what the car has.

Just a heads up if you find another 62, get down low and sight down that ridge that is on the side of the car and goes from the front of the car to the doors. On a 61 and later, that side ridge has a stainless steel molding on it which can hide imperfections. What you are looking for is a nice uniform ridge that has had no body work. Very few body men can make that ridge look nice and straight and uniform. And that's one area to gets banged up easy because it sticks out.
