I wouldn't spend that kind of money on a wheel unless I had proof that my car came with one and I had some kind of agenda for originality.

I bought an original teak wheel a while back for my '66. I absolutely love the look and the feel.

Willcox is a vendor on this site and will regularly post specials for 10-20% off your order. I have used them several times and have no complaints. I have an Eric Freeman wheel and love it, cheaper than real and just as functional. Not sure who is making the Willcox wheel, you could call and ask and maybe get more pictures before you buy.

I have never heard of any complaints of an Eric Freeman teak wheel and his price is in the ball park of Willcox, so I would get one of his b/c its more of a sure thing. If you go with an original 65-66 teak, then I would have provette67 check it out or at least send him some pics for his opinion.

Willcox is a very reputable vendor and has multiple DYI articles and videos on their website to help Corvette owners with issues. I would trust them to provide and do the right thing. I have never had to return anything I ordered from Willcox.

Just called them, they are out of stock and don't expect anymore. They are taking this item off of their website.

There are still individuals reproducing teak wheels. Doug Graves is one. Excellent wheel.

Thanks, I found his email on another thread after doing the search. I finally got in touch with him to order a wheel.

Now the only decision is 15 inch or 16 inch. I'm going to eventually put power steering in this car, so what do you guys recommend?

I have two Eric Freeman teak wheels. One for the '66 and one for the '67. They are great looking and feeling wheels. He does excellent work.

As with most teak wheel threads, they turn into promotions of a couple of Non Supporting Vendors.
