I agree, but it looks like a necessary compromise for the tilt column and Paul Atkins gauge pod. Not sure where else you can put the tach if you go with the tilt.

Default Tilt Steering

That's the main reason I went with the different gauge pod was steering column location(plus I liked the idea of being able to design my own gauges) Gauges came from Classic Instruments. Column location is a little higher than stock and moved forward.. A big guy can drive this car pretty comfortably.
Between the tilt column and the custom seats there is a lot more interior room than a stock 62

I've seen this Vette in person.. It's absolutely stunning.. One of the nicest restomods I've seen. Bruce's attention to detail is impeccable.. Great job Bruce!

I've decided to consign car for Barrett Jackson Vegas next month. Don't have a lot number yet so I'm not locked in.

Thank you for all the positive responses. I put a lot of thought into this build. These cars look great to begin with. I wanted to build something that was comfortable with subtle improvements and no body modifications I'm looking forward to my next one which is at interior shop now. Keep the comments coming Thanks again!!

WOW! That is so tastefully done, I can't imagine anyone having anything negative to say about this build.

I feel so fortunate to be able to see these incredible builds by some of the pros on this site.

Thanks for sharing those pics.

I don't have the words to tell you how nice this car is. I'm not a big fan of the solid axle cars but THIS makes me rethink everything.

Great Job no detail untouched, Excellent!, Beautiful!

Default Rear view mirror

There was mention earlier about not having rear view mirror. I just hadn't mounted it at time of photo shoot. I just couldn't bring myself to put holes in this leather dash so I found a real nice billet rear view mirror that mounts on windshield. Here's a couple pics.

Fantastic!!! Wow! Bruce, did you use the Paul Atkins seat backs & fiberglass dash as well? They look GREAT! I'm likely going with the Atkins dash, and gauge cluster pod. Would love to know if you went with his seat backs, and if your upholtery guy had an issues with them. Is the center console leather wrapped? Thanks, Ed
