drive em if ya got em!
This is a little car club cruise we went on Aug. 25th to the Oregon Caves. about 110 miles round trip and we all had a "marrrrvolas" time. good eats, good friends, and a great place to visit.
The drive up with 11 cars was uneventful. just the way we like em:
Even though it's a "Chevy club" we have all types of cars. on the trip this time was a Model T, Model A, 40 Ford, 36 Ford, a Buick, a 49 Plymouth, a boat tail Riviera, and even an old 62 Corvette (mine) ;-)
Of course no car club can pass up a chance to eat... so:
After saying so long to the car club, Jennifer and I actually stayed the night at the Caves Chateau, and had dinner there as well. Our anniversary was just past, so we combined our celebration with the cruise. of course we dressed up appropriately for dinner, as it's a very high class place (note my "suit" is a T shirt with tie and vest printed on it)
We drive our cars often to enjoy them, and hope you all do also!

The 'posse' at Old Town, Florida last Saturday night. We caravaned in together (always fun). Early in the day so no crowd yet !

You're seeing 5 Corvettes with 5 owners, on site, with varying pedigrees....from 98% original to complete restomods...
A 'posse' consists of more than one person !

I get it now. No, I drove the SWC with the hood down...the car to the left is a friend's complete '62 restomod (not my '61)...

That's Mike Colettas '67 restomod. He also built the '62 being discussed....a complete restomod with custom chassis, digital gauges, LS-3 engine, killer sound system. The car has people 3 rows deep looking it over when the crowds get heavy.
The '62 was completed well over a decade ago and the owner gets constant crazy money offers for it nearly every week -- for those that think restomod quality and value goes to hell in a handbasket after a few years !

I sold my 64 Fairlane today, so it must be time to look for another Vette project eh? (not)
