Anybody that doesn't get a lump in their throat touring Gettysburg is somebody I don't want to even know. All this Confederate flag nonsense makes me want to puke.
Anyway, great weather, great cars and looks loads of fun. Is that yellow car in the first pic one of those split window coupe kits I've heard about ? It doesn't look like the C6 conversions I've seen before..

Off Topic: Many people do not see the similarity between ISIS blowing up symbols from the past and our own Progressive groups erasing History that they find offensive. Al W.

It seemed odd to me. I don't know if that rear section is removable but for some reason there are pronounced ridges along both rear fenders that seem contrived.....and the split 'rib' stops inexplicably at the roof line. Finally, the lack of any brightwork around the rear windows just put me off.

Decided that this year I'd book my rooms for Carlisle in Gettysburg.
I spent all morning and afternoon today at the Visitors Center and Battlefield.
The Carlisle hotels want to jack up the prices? Then Carlisle hotels and restaurants won't get my money.
And its a nice drive from Gettysburg to Carlisle.

Not sure the yellow conversion is the same as Frankie's pic but it doesn't look bad. A little too busy but not too offensive. I wouldn't kick it out of the garage..... I can't get started on politics on order from my entire family, but I agree.

Back on topic, I lived in NJ most of my life, and always wanted to make it to Carlisle for the Corvette gathering. Although I was to Gettysburg many times, and traveled in that area, I never got to C at C. Now I'm in Florida and would love to take my '63 up there, if just for once. Definitely something to look into.

Killer Angels by Michael Shaara lays the battle out right in front of you. A great book.

Pretty cool looking. Never seen one before. Approaching the best of both worlds. Wonder who makes it?

We stayed in Gettysburg as well, on Rt 15. Getting to Carlisle was a beautiful drive thru gorgeous So. PA countryside of orchards and dairy farms. We also did an auto tour of Gettysburg on Friday. I hadn't been there in 20 years or so and many of the sites we visited I felt like it was the first time. The PA monument is not only the largest monument in the area but just breathtaking in scope. Climbing the 45 steps of the circular stair to the top was rewarded with an incredible view of the site. I asked a guide who fielded the most men at Gettysburg for the Army of the Potomac. He said it was PA and NY. Not only in Gettysburg but just about every major conflict of the war. It was due to the fact those states were the most populous with more men in their respective armies and volunteers. Standing at the Union line at The Copse of Trees, I could only imagine the carnage and horrors of those few days in July of 1863. It took 5.5 months to clean the battlefields of the dead and the wreckage.
