My 64 died, assumed it was the fuel pump, went to check it and the body of the pump is cracked and almost falling out of the block. Bolts are still tight and in place. Never seen this before, any ideas?

Could the fuel pump have hit something causing the casting break. I am not sure but if a motor mount is bad the engine could flex causing interference.

If it's a current replacement pump nothing surprises me, find a 40503 AC service replacement pump and double check the push rod length.
