origoinal Corvette Clock Mechanism
does anyone sell a functional OE mechanism for 64-7 Clock?
mine was fried - i could send that in for repair - but look like there was some plastic around the coil that melted and made a holy mess of the mechanism.
i bought a quartz conversion - (it was a little sporadic at first until i scuffed the inside of the case where it grounds) - now works just fine - but i want the tick-tock so I want the correct mechanism..
help

Melting Slicks
Years ago I replaced the movement in my '71 with a quartz and it worked fine. It was probably made in JAPAN! I pulled my '67 clock today and assumed it was dead since it didn't have a positive terminal when I got the car 28 years ago. It's obvious it had been worked on. I hooked it up to a 6V transformer and to my surprise, Whap-Tick-Tick-Tick-Whap-Tick-Tick-Tick.... I'd heard about the winding mechanism but never saw one in action. COOL!
