parking brake stop pin
I'm in the process of inserting the little pin on my parking brake assembly on my 58 and wanted to know how far down the pin should be? I finally found parking brake alarm that will be installed once I receive it.

Tap it in far enough to activate the switch but not sticking out so much that it over-stresses the brass tang on the switch.

Thanks Frankie
The pin is a very tight fit, I can't get it down any further than the picture shows.
I'm going to have to either increase the diameter of the hole on the shaft or decrease the pin size? Any suggestions?

Put some heavy tape on channel lock pliers jaws and squeeze the pin lower. I'm sure what you are showing is way too high... If you have a small "C" clamp you could use that to do it as well.
