Stewart - I think this is too much money for it personally. At that price point, you will be able to get a much better quality. Look at this one, for example, on ebay. 42k or best offer. much cleaner than this one (I do not know this car at all).

Unless you can get in the lower 30's, I think you can find something cleaner.
Thanks - Matt

Did you notice the harness wire disconnected along the firewall? How about the spliced wires. I have concerns. Probably needs new wires all around.
I agree with TNVettGuy, the one he showed you is a better car for the same money.
Man, electrical tape on spliced wires!!!

That's a cheap white repaint on what was originally a Marina Blue car. They didn't even bother to remove or replace the weather stripping, just painted right over it! There are also numerous places where the paint is flaking off. Overall that is indicative of poor prep work.
Poor prep work plus the classic white repaint over a desirable color makes me wonder what body work issues the white is hiding.............
I agree with the other posters - look else where for better value and quality.
Edit - Interesting to note the 6300 rpm redline on the tach, indicative of a high performance engine. That's clearly NOT what's in there now, and it has the weirdest upper radiator hose I have ever seen in a C2 Corvette!

The silver car on e-bay is a much cleaner and nicer car, too bad its an automatic.

How does the frame, suspension, underbody, and bird cage look?
That high rpm tach is consistent with a high HP engine. In '66, the fuelie and L76 were no longer available, so that probably means it came with a big block engine.

No rear sway bar. All BB had them. No obvious reason to remove it. Right U joint caps.

The car also has a high RPM red line tach and 80 lb oil pressure ga and these items are unique to the 425 HP 427.
Also a big block core support, radiator and fan shroud.
Left side hood support is big block only.

No apparent holes where a right side hood prop would have been. Wiring harness is run 'ala big block. I think it could very well be a big block car with a rear end change 'cause they broke it!!!
