Default Widened Front fenders

Got my Dynamic Corvette front widened fenders and they are more challenging then the rear but will be very nice when done. The new fenders are very nice and fit pretty well but attaching them is the challenge so I made my own bonding strips out of the old fender and these things are going to fit perfect and not need much body work. I didn't get the epoxy today so I didn't get them on today but I will post some updates when I get them on.

Looks great Tom! I contacted Dynamic Corvettes a few weeks ago and got a prompt reply on cost and shipping. What size rim and tire are you running on the rear? I am running 275/40/17" with 5.9" backspace. Just fits within the stock lip with a bit of shaving. Looking to run at least 285/17 on the same rim once rear quarters are installed.

I am running 18x11.5 front and rear with 4.75 backspace. My old rims where staggered and i was running 5.5 back and 4.5 front and they where extremely close to the frame. I had to go less backspace in the rear this time to match the front. You can't have as much backspace and turn the wheel all the way. I am running 285 30 18 tires but the ones I am using run very wide and probably are more closer to 300-305. They are a tight fit even with the new fenders but my suspension is completely adjustable and very stiff. I can't believe more people don't use these fenders. They look very cool and the quality of work Dynamic Corvette does is top notch.

I'd be interested in seeing those in person! My sister is in Granger, IA. Love to swing by next time we're up!

Tom, tell us about the suspension setup you're running. Car sits low and mean!

Qa1 front coilovers with a half coil cut. Rear is vband p dual mount leaf shortened around a inch and qa1 shocks. Everything is adjustable and stiff. The wheels have spacers in them now that are about 5/8 too wide. Once I get the new hub centric/wheel centric spacers everything should clear better but be close with the 18x11.5 wheels. Front fenders are both on but I have my work cut out for me. Lots of fiberglass to do and be itchy for the next couple days.

Front fender has been glued on, fiberglass Matt and resin, duraglass, and the body worked roughed in. Almost done with the other side too.

Like they should all look!!!! Looking good!!!!!

PS Unless you are Preserving History NCRS style!

What about front brake cooling? I fabricated some amber fiberglass brake scoops to attach to scoop air in and my monster air dam is holy (cut for brake ducting!)

Can't decide if I like the air dam so I haven't cut holes in it. Definitely the plan.

the air dam looks a bit 'extreme' on the ends; not sure what to suggest, but "I" would do something else...

Default For aesthetics

I would cut it right in line with the inner tire line at the top and a slight angle cut downward so the bottom width is slightly shorter by an inch or so from the top width! I would cut the brake cooling in line so the flex line is snaked as straight back and curved into the brakes! Some of the Nascar suppliers have female receiving duct brackets that can be modified to bolt up somewhere at the spindle! I would engineer in the brake cooling prior to deciding where to cut! I would cut a nice stainless steel housing plate mounting a circular stainless steel screen or rock catchers! I would trim the whole length of the spoiler up about an inch and a half roughly and get a think flexible rubber lip attached with some cool Dzus fasteners! Also I would Dzus fasten on the entire spoiler! Cool

Ps just go get a few front photo shots made and take a black marker and just draw on different shape ideas onto the pictures!

Just throwing thoughts, but I can tell you have a great aesthetic eye already!

this is what I did to my 62, I would have liked it to be wider to cover the tires but it is a stock S10 Blazer airdam. in my mind, the ends are the right shape though...

it does keep the air out from under the car though...

I like the front spoiler. Fenders too. Stock trailing arms? Park brake cable relocated?
Lookin good!
