Default are drain holes needed in 64 coupe?

There are plenty of drain holes in the floor pan of a 64. Are they really needed or could I glass them out? Even if my car will not be 100% watertight when finished (although I do whatever it takes to do so) , I can hardly imagine the car will take floods of water that needs to be drained. Or am I wrong here?

Those aren't drain holes. Those are part locator holes used to manugacture the individual part and the body. Use rubber push in plugs to seal them.
