Roy is your truk like the #22car with the light tan tire cover and the light tan trunk back wall. They both looked like they were covered in beige leather.

That's a neat video-where on earth did you run across that?

This is what he thinks is the original serial tag or he made it ,don't know how he thinks it's #022 or can prove it . Anyway he's asking $249K
At that price he needs to prove it and the early color.
anyone ready to fly to Spain???

Pop rivets on the VIN tag on a '55? I know JohnZ wrote recently that they were used by GM Europe on some early cars - but would that apply here?

I would say that if you want to know anything about a 55 Corvette that Roy would be the goy to ask and if you ever need to know anything about a 53 Corvette that Brett (Vettedaddy) Henderson would be the guy to ask. They both know what is more. Correct then the NCRS has in there judging books. NCRS keeps changing thing all the time depending who wants things changed. That is my $0.05 worth

1955 Copper in Spain
Hello Everyone, I'm new to this forum and came across this in researching a 55 corvette for a friend. Honestly I know very little about the car aside from what I've read online. The video you've seen of the 55 copper corvette in Spain belongs to a friend and client of ours.
I just returned from Spain yesterday and personally saw the car they are looking to sell after having completed the recent restoration. I am the owner of a shipping company in NY and have shipped many classics for foreign buyers through the years. In some cases such as this, we've shipped the cars back to American buyers as well. I am trying to facilitate the sale of this car for them and at this point considering bringing it back to NY and show it at the Hershey AACA meet in October. I understand the difficulty for anyone to buy the car overseas through pictures. During my trip I have taken many pictures and videos of this car which I will soon post or can send anyone interested if you send me a PM.
I welcome everyone's feedback and critique of the car as professionals in 55 vettes.
I'd like to know where I can get it appraised and authenticated as a #22.
All suggestions and feedback is greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance for your attention. Rgds Joe

THe VIN tag on #22 in Spain does not look like a factory original VIN tag. Here is a photo of a 55 VIN tag for a car that was recently listed on Ebay. Note the ridge that runs around the edge of the tag.
Also, the characters for 1955 VIN tags were stamped into the aluminum tag. The characters on the VIN tag for # 22 are embossed (raised above the surface from the backside).
I think that the first step would be to determine how this particular VIN tag got on the car.
A non factory appearing VIN tag is a red flag to most Corvette buyers.
