Default 15X7 Rally Wheel and 205/75 R15 Will it Work?

Can a knowledgeable Forum Member tell me if a set of FW 15X7 Rally Wheels will accept P205/75 R 15 tires?

The stock steel wheels are no longer with the car and I want to use this combination on my 1966 C2

Thank you

Phil

There are several GM wheels that are the same size as original 67 wheels. The large DC (org), small dc, B, and YS would all work and fit your 205 75 tires. The YW wheel is one inch wider and has a little more back space. It should fit your car but a 205 75 tire might be too narrow for a 7" wide rim. M2C

205 or 215 tire sizing is ideal for a 7" rim. Acceptable tire size would be from 195 to 225.

The tire will work fine on that rim, but the wider 7" rim with +0.3" offset results in backspacing of 4.3", which may be awfully close to the parking brake cables (stock is about 3-5/8"). The rims also move the outside edge of the tire outboard 1/4".

I have 7" rally wheels w 205 tires on my '66 right now w/o any clearance problems. Only issue is the spare not fitting in the tub easily. I have 6" KO wheels also that I swap back n forth. I have the optional longer tub bolts for KO wheels and still tight in spare tub.
