This may be of interest to whoever might document these disassemblies... Pulled the axles and found these paint dabs. Yellow on the driver side, white and green on pass. side

Because one is longer then the other ,paint tells which is which ,but thanks .Vary little is talked about 53-55 here because were few in members here.

Saw that on my 54 when I pulled the axles to replace the pinion seal a few years ago.

Chip on the worm gear is from some one hitting the shaft to remove or POP the steering wheel off ,wheel cylinder is original ,the last three # are larger on original's , everything you' v shown so fare is the same for 53 to 55
