It's Alive!!! Short video
I'm posting this video for "ptjsk" AKA Pat, also AKA Tiny (which he is not!). In Aug. 2013 Pat and his wife Terry were attending the Motorsports Reunion vintage races with my wife and me at Laguna Seca Raceway in the Monterey, CA area. My wife and I were at the track on Sunday morning waiting for them to arrive when we got a text advising that their gorgeous '62 Vette had been stolen sometime during the night before. Some of you probably remember the story about how it was recovered a couple weeks later in San Jose. Corvetteforum actually played a role in getting the word out about the theft and helping it to be recognized where it was dumped and recovered on a quiet little street. The car was mostly intact but had been abused and damaged in the process.
It's been quite an ordeal for Pat over the last 2+ years trying to get it fixed and put back together. It's not all the way back yet but it's getting close. I can tell you that the underside of that car is cleaner than the top side of any of my cars. The amount of work done and attention to detail is nothing short of amazing. Pat can fill in the details if he wants.
So, without further adieu here's the video after the initial start up of his new engine. He says it's not tuned yet but the 358 CI engine with Erson hydraulic roller cam and Dart heads sure sounds good already. Pat's pretty excited and I don't blame him.

Hey Les,
Thanks a lot for getting that posted!
I think I was under the dash for one of the last times today. Was finally able to get the speaker, and the radio installed.
I had the original wonderbar radio restored.
I know, it really doesn't make a lot of sense because the car if far from original, but it's still kind of cool to have a working wonderbar radio.....even if I won't be able to hear it!
I should be on the downhill side of this ordeal/rebuild!
Pat

Having that Wonderbar in there is cool, and it should get you max points at the NCRS events Keep picking away and pretty soon you'll run out of things to do. Then you'll have to actually get it out and drive it!
