14x6 TT tire size
I purchased a old era correct torque thrust, thought I would put them on the car short term just to have a different look for a while. What size 14 inch tires. I was thinking 235 or 245/60/14?? wheels are 14x6
Thanks in advance

You should test fit the wheels on your car to see what issues you may have.

Here are some numbers to chew on:
Tire...............Diameter..........Wid th..........Rim Width
OEM................26.3................8 .07...........5.5 to 6.0 (1963-67)
235/60R14........25.1................9.25... ........6.5 to 8.5
245/60R14........25.6................9.65... ........7.0 to 8.5
225/70R14........26.4................8.86... .........6.0 to 7.5
I think the 235/60R14 might work but it might be pushing the envelope for the recommended rim width. The 245/60R14 would really be pushing the recommended rim width. Somewhere out there someone has probably put either of those tires on a 6 inch rim, but I would be very cautious before doing so.
However, a 225/70R14 looks like a good match as far as equivalent to original height, a little more width on the ground, and better designed for a 6 inch rim.
Some food for thought.

In college, an acquaintance bought a used drum-brake C2, then swapped his original wheels and tires for some 14" mags with 70 series rubber. Everything looked and fit fine and he was happy.

Bought my '63 in the fall of 1969 and immediately installed a nearly new set of 14" snow tires & wheels from my '62 Impala on it. Fit fine and had no problems at all.
Well other than the darn things didn't last through the winter! I can't understand why, could'a got two years out of them on the Impala...
Good luck... GUSTO
