Default Nice Trim Tag on ebay

How in the world could a trim tag end up looking like this??? Is it a real GM one or a reproduction? Another eBay jewel!

Makes sense but what about the rest of the car, any pictures?

If it's a "Blue on Blue car", why is the tag red?

Actually despite the first impression, it looks like a pretty straight car.

What's interesting to me is that the trim tag looks so horrible, yet the VIN tag 1/2" away looks so pristine. Just an observation.

Probably because sometime in it's life it was painted red. NOT unheard of for old cars. Corvettes left the factory with NO paint on the trim tag or VIN plate.

Too old and banged up to be anything other than a real tag in my opinion. If the cross bar is that rusty imagine what the birdcage looks like. I wouldn't take that car for free.

It came off of the coupe that Dennis Hopper plunged off Mulholland in "King of the Mountain"!

Add says it has original correct big block hood. Pictures show a '67 big block hood, not a '66 hood.

In 18 months or so it will be the latest numbers matching highly optioned big block Sting Ray.

I've heard of the owner being "under water" on a car, but it looks like in this case it was the car itself! And for a long time, too!
