I did the entire cooling system on my '66 a few months ago. I used the repro hose clamp kit sold in a box by a major vendor. The heater hose clamps are fine, but the radiator clamps are total cheap crap. I found a pair of the original, dated, Wittek upper hose clamps that my brother had put away many years ago and they worked perfect. Unfortunately, the originals go for $135 on eb*y. The difference in the gauge of the band metal between the originals and repros was obvious. You just have to remember to hold the tower nut with pliers as you tighten them, or they'll twist sideways.
