Default looking for current owner

I bought a 1966 Corvette coupe in August, 1966 from Alan Green Chevrolet in Seattle, WA. I replaced it with a 1970 coupe in 1970. I recently found my original owner's manual with protect-o-plate, window sticker, etc. Is there some way I could find the current owner who I assume would be interested in this paperwork? Last four of the vin is 0196. Any suggestions?

You could always post your info and VIN in the ORPHAN VIN stamped parts and documents thread that is found at the top of the main page in the Sticky section.

Its what we have set up here to connect people with items that go to cars no longer in their possession.

Thanks. I posted the info on the Orphan VIN forum. If the car is still around I would think the owner would be interested in the window sticker, protect-o-plate, etc.

Did you check the NMVTIS to see if it's titled?

I'm not sure how 2014 is "several years ago" but I would still advise the OP to post his info there... I actually found a posting made by the original purchaser of my car many years ago on the C2 registry and we have made quite a connection as a result. There's value in having this info on the Internet in a searchable format indefinitely.

Edit: OP, I see you went ahead and posted your info; thanks for that.

I concur, just mentioned that so far, it hasn't worked for me.
