Default 1956 Corvette pedal car?

Picked this up today, I don't think its a go-kart but maybe a pedal car body? maybe some type of old kiddie ride? thought it was cool and will hang it on the wall.

My original Eska 1956 pedal car was not fiberglass. It does look very much like the one I had but I can't tell if is dimensionally correct. Looks like a great find to me! Hugh

Pretty sure it's not an Eska pedal car body - I seem to recall that the grille teeth were molded in on those, and this body looks bigger overall. I know that Yard-Man built 200 of the original Corvette Karts for Chevy dealers in 1959 or so (I have one), and a company called Matco also made a similar body later . . . but those were 1958-60 style with dual headlights, and a few with the 1961-62 ducktail rear end as well. I don't remember a kart body in the 1956-57 style - but I think that we've found one now. Very nice piece. Here's a couple of photos of my Yard-Man Corvette Kart:

Right you are - and Manco it is. I must have been thinking of Matco, the tool company . . . got a garage full of 'em.
