Default painted and ready for assembly !!!

Well finally got the silver on the vette last weekend. It took me forever to prep the body. It was originally sebring silver but had one repaint to red back in the day. Stripped it and brought it back to silver. Seems like forever making sure every square inch of the body was straight and had good fit. Body work is nasty hard work. Attention to detail takes forever but is very rewarding. Now its time to finish it up. Lots of stainless steel polishing and ordering parts !!!
I was born in 63 and have always wanted one. Finally !!!

Yes. Silver with black interior. I so wish it had a red interior but the tag says black so I have to keep it correct... FI with 4.11 gears!

Default Jealous!

Maybe I'm biased (ya think? ) but Sebring silver really shows off the lines on this car. Having the FI as well is icing on the cake. Too sweet!!

Yes. Sooo glad I've made it through the paint scene. Paint is the biggest obstacle of any car build. Here in Sarasota we call it "body shop blues or Body shop prison". That's why I do all my body work and prep. I can bring it to a reputable shop and tell them... "just lay the base color and clear and hand it back to me." I'm over body shops as I'm sure a lot of people on here are too. I have a machine shop so the engine, trans and rear end builds are the easiest and free too as I do my own. Love the hobby !
