My 63 has knock off wheels on it. I like the look ok, but I hate messing with them ... I would like using a tire iron instead of a lead hammer to change them.

I was in the same situation as you. Sold my KO's on the forum and bought a set of bolt on knock offs on the forum. You can't tell any difference once they're on looks-wise.

Here's some 15 X 6 5 lug ones that I put on my most recent project.

I apologize up front to all the ladies out there and to the guys who have KO's. But, in my opinion (emphasize My opinion) KO's have a really nice clean look but are too feminine looking for my taste. I personally prefer the more masculine old school look of either hubcaps or the 5 spoke old school look like TTs.

Sold My KO Bolt On's....Reason: Really had a problem thinking about a flat out in the woods somewhere!!! (America's Finest Wheels) Then I started screwing around as I usually do with wheels/tires........TTO's with Gold Lines.....Well! Did not move me! So I added (Cheated) and Permanently threw "Goodyear" raise letters to simulate an Old well known Speedway Tire.....So I have these:

And I have reclaimed an Original set of DC Rally's with BF Goodrich Raise Letter T/A tires which is probably where I will end up!

I Also agree, thanks for the resurrection of these post, CorvetteMikeB!!!

Default Not real fancy but they are a classic look.

Not my first choice but availability was a factor with supply chain issues. Also a proven fit.

I am not a KO fan. My ‘66 came with a very nice period correct set of KOs and gold line tires, but they were not original to the car and tire selection for 15” is getting more difficult year after year. I upgraded to a period correct looking (think Radir) wheel in 17” with some great handling Michelin’s in the stock diameter. The handling difference is amazing!

As purchased with true KOs dated 1966.

As changed by me to a 17”.

I’m happy with everything about this upgrade.

I don't have them, but I have to agree. They just look "right."

Can just a Lead Hammer remove Knock Off Wheel Spinners? Not sure what to buy.

Anybody want to sell their knock off spinner tool set?

Here's how they look now...... It will be interesting to see what a 62 looks like with them. Don't see that everyday....

I like your Turbine Wheels. Do those come in 15"? What website?

Yes, those are 15" diameter x 7" wide. You need to look for Western Wheels "turbine" or "hurricane" wheels. I don't recall their actual name (but IIRC it wasn't turbine).

The cones and spinners are from elsewhere and are available on-line. But to do it safely, you may need to have four spacers made like I did and get the right "hat."
