Default stupid spring question

I am try to adjust ride height, have the longer bolts, is tightening to raise? or to loosen???

Tightening, or running the nuts up the bolts, will raise the back of the car.

If you have the stock configuration, longer bolts will drop the rear. If you run the nuts up the bolt to shorten the usable length, the rear will raise back up as you shorten. As you turn the nut, "lefty/lowery, righty/raisey"
