He prob wants to show off the car (and his family) to fellow recruits and drill sergeants.
You better have it spit-shined; I'd hate to see you doing pushups !

If he is graduating, stop by Ranger Joe's. They have a lot of neat stuff.
Also the Army Infantry Museum is an interesting visit.

We went in June 2014 for our son's boot camp graduation. The National Infantry Museum is a must see. The area closest to the base can be a bit seedy but going into Columbus itself gets you anything you want as far as food, a mall, etc. And parts of the base itself are quite accessible - our son showed up some of the ranges, the tower they climb for the obstacle course, etc.
Give your son a "thank you" from me.

For sure The National Infantry Museum is a must see. Every two years the 47th Infantry (My Unit in Viet Nam) has their reunion there. This year it's April 20th-24th.
Make sure you do a review of the long range forecast. In 2010 I planned on taking our new 2010 Grand Sport to the reunion. I was a little concerned about the safety of the car so I didn't take it. Tennessee had a lot of rain that spring and all the interstates were closed and we were unable to get home for three days. The way it was there was many places we had to drive our daily driver through a few feet of water.

Love the Infantry Museum. But I'm 11B...
Haven't been to the museum since it was down on main post. 1991 or 2.
Keep meaning to go see the new one photos I've seen look real nice.
My dream rifle of all time is there. It's a presentation M-14 given to the then USAIC commander.
Utterly, utterly beautiful.
