Default Bleche-White Tire Cleaner

Hi All,

Has anybody used Bleche-White Tire Cleaner. It says in the instructions 'do not let it contact magnesium or aluminium wheels or paint as it can damage the surface'
It seems to me that it would be imposible to clean the tires without some of the cleaner getting on to the wheels.
Has anybody used it and had a problem or has it been OK when it has been in contact with alloy wheels.
Thanks Phil

I've been using it for as long as I can remember. If you leave it on the paint, you may see some problems. I just rinse it off the paint when it does get on it. One car I have been using it on, I've owned over 31 years. It still has the original paint.

Believe what it says. In concentrated form it will do that. If you wet the wheels and painted surfaces around the concentrated area, you're better off.

"Scrubbing Bubbles" household cleaner works pretty well for whitewalls.

So does Simple Green, it shouldn't do damage to anything and yes, I've used it on alloys but, can be diluted with water if you don't wish to use it full strength.

I've used it for years. Works great. I do wet the tires before application, and I never let it sit for more than five minutes.

I use it on my KOs on my '66 as well as my other cars and truck (painted and chrome wheels). I do one tire/wheel at a time and rinse it off quickly with no deleterious effects.

I've used it for years and have never had any issues. That said, if you're just trying to get sidewalls/white letters/whitewalls clean, comet or something similar works really well too.

Diamondback tires recommends against using the bleach products; its prob OK though if you rinse it off really well after use. http://www.dbtires.com/cleaningtips.html

I have only used the original formula. I wasn't aware of the Balck Magic Wesley's nor did I know about the "improved" original formula.

Here is a utube that explains.

To some extent that language is legalese in respect to lawsuits. But as others have said as long as you wet your surfaces before use & don't let it set too long you should be fine.

Thanks for all the replies. Looks like I will wet the wheels first before applying the Bleche-White.

Default Tire cleaner?

I could be mistaken but I believe it says TIRE CLEANER right on the can........this product has been around much longer than aluminum wheels and there is nothing better for white walls or letters........
