Coolant overflow, normal consistency? photo inside
Hi guys. Recently had the coolant overflow cap off our 1964, it looked like a bit of a film on top. Do you all think this is normal? We had the engine rebuilt about 700-1000 miles ago.
Thanks
Thanks

Is the coolant level rising ? E.g. oil getting into the water..
Is your oil level normal and no indication of water in it ?
If things look normal I'd just keep driving it and keep an eye on things.
You could send off an oil sample for analysis for peace of mind.

Melting Slicks
If you want to settle your mind go to a shop and have them test your anti-freeze for exhaust gases.

Ok guys thanks. I just saw some film on top of the coolant, I know the overflow systems aren't always perfectly clean etc but wasn't sure if this was pretty "normal looking". Appreciate the help guys.
