Safety Car
I used stainless mufflers from Summit Racing on my wife's '62, but could not find any mandrel bent tail pipes, so I made my own from 2.5" straight sections and "J" bends.

Le Mans Master
I believe that Allen's has them... Some of the vendors here carry the Allen's systems.
Good luck... GUSTO

Wow..I'm impressed!
First start up ...and sounds like a tuned engine!!...
I'm VERY interested in your exhaust too. Is it as quiet as the video indicates??
Could you please tell me what mufflers you used (if it is pretty quiet)?
Part numbers would be good..if it's not much trouble?
I've been fighting a crappy exhaust sound for a couple of weeks or more...
...and the size of the exhaust pipes?
Thanks...Stan

the stainless headers are 1 3/4" primarys split into 2" secondarys to a 3" collector , then the stainless exhaust is 2 1/2" to magna flow stainless mufflers 2 1/2" ( they are straight thru with internal packing around the perforated 2 1/2 tube to absorb the sound)I thought it was going to be loud for sure ,but it has a nice tone to it ,, the tail pipes will go over the frame in the stock position and have to get creative with the 2 1/2 tube to get it to fit in between the body and frame ,might try some oval tubing ,,
these are the mufflers 2.50" Inlet, 2.50" Out, 14" Stainless, Ctr/Ofs, Magnaflow 11226 CAR-11226

One last question..Sound clips are so hard to really tell about accurately, and sometimes they are much louder in real life.
Is the exhaust pretty quiet?
It sounds pretty mild to me with a bass tendency...like maybe a 4 on scale of 1 to 10 (1 being very quiet.. of 10 being very loud).
Describe in your own words if you can think of a something to compare too.
I've already installed new set that was really unpleasant...not mellow at all, just loud.
Many thanks again...Stan

well I have had the gambit of exhaust systems ,mufflers and have drag raced open headers in my stock eliminator car ,, my opinion is that is the mufflers are mid way (4-5) 10 being the loudest ,, its not as loud as a glass pack and quieter than flow master 2 chamber,,also there is no tail pipes on it and will change the tone as well ,, pipe size has a lot to do with sound to,, by adding a cross over pipe to it will add another tone to it that will smooth the pulse a bit ,, but I haven't had a change to see how it sounds under a load either ,, so some variables to be thrown in,, it will be a while before the actual test drive but I know the owner will be happy with it ,,
