This bridge (STILL in use) is on an old ORIGINAL section of Rt 66 on the west edge of Sapulpa, OK (first town west of Tulsa).

And this is another old truss bridge (still in use) on the original Rt 66 on the north side of Okla City.

Tom,
You made the car the way you want it and I know you really enjoy it.

Been over both of those bridges many times.
Oklahoma has some of the oldest, most decrepit bridges still in use in the U.S.

But they just look so cool!!!

West Virginia in the '60s was right up there. To meet the wife's grandparents I drove from Norfolk to Kermit, WV and crossed a bridge over "Tug Holler" (that's a valley to Easteners). I was in my '67 Camaro and the bridge was old railroad ties secured with rope.

A week later, returning the same way, the bridge had fallen in to the 'holler' and we detoured 15 miles to a 'real', steel bridge

Default SACC magazine article

Got the issue this week and really enjoyed the article. Four pages worth! Nice coverage and lots of pictures. Wish they could have included a color photo of your car with the trailer. My favorite! Congrats!
