There was a recent thread here that pointed to an ebay auction for reproduction intake gaskets. I compared the text and font from the auction item to the original gasket removed by me from my 1960. Were there different configurations of the gasket tabs or is this just another example of a poor reproduction?

PS: I have no involvement or interest in the ebay listing other then to inquire if the tab and font on the tab are typical of factory gaskets.

Are you trying to cash in on engine warranty?

There were apparently at least two suppliers of those gaskets to GM. I have seen two different sizes of the GM on those tabs on original cars. If I recall correctly, the NCRS 61-62 manual spells that out.

Thanks. I have the 58-60 manual which mentions nothing about any variations in the tab size or text. Since the 61-62 manual is new, it has probably been updated to clarify things.
