63 water pump pulley question
For my 327/300 63, I need a single water pump pulley. Do they have past numbers and/or date codes I should be aware of to get a proper one for my car? Thanks. Jd

belt on second pulley out so as not to rub belt on bottom hose.

You need a two groove pulley, I believe the part # ends in 659 (not 100%) and the alternator belt uses the forward groove. If you use the rear groove the belt can damage the lower radiator hose.
The lower crankshaft pulley ends in #043 and is also two groove and the alternator is like the picture above. All this assumes a 250-300hp engine but the higher hp engines use the same arrangement but the pulleys are deep groove and carry a different part #.
