Ok guys, who has the best priced front disc brake conversion kit around, for a 1964 Vette. Should I keep manual or upgrade to power and what is all needed to accomplish it.

I got my kit from Master Power Brakes but Performance Online is cheaper. I went with MPB because I've used their products before and they have great service. If you need to call them you can actually talk to someone that knows their stuff. I got the manual set-up and am very happy with it. Everything needed was included in the kit.

Find someone parting out a shark car and get all the parts you need. Sorce out the ware items from your local auto parts store

I use all 67 vette stuff, rotors calipers, trailing arms, lines, etc. Wildwood, Baer great stuff , I prefer manual over power. In using 67 trailing arms repo, change the front spinal to 69 (big bearings) all gm dual reservoir , easy to get parts in the future.

That's what I did on my '64 - bought complete spindles off a '79 from Craigslist so I had all the parts I needed plus I had cores to send back for the reman calipers.

same 'stuff' on my 62 (once upon a time...). i now prefer the single piston calipers as they are less apt to leak and because you don't have to have 'disc brake' wheels.

Sorry for the delay, I've been out of town. I'm not 100 percent sure as I don't have them mounted to my chassis yet. However, I'll let you know on about a week.

I used a SSBC FRONT DISC BRAKE CONVERSION KIT A137-3 SERIES
1963 - 64 CORVETTE. Included all necessary for front disc setup, plus dual master cylinder & proportioning valve. Installation was straightforward and not complicated. Best I remember, price was around $700ish all in.

I assembled one side today and even with the spacer, the stock 63-64 steel rim does not clear. It's close, but would need a wider spacer by about 1/4". The kit is very nice though. The spindle, steering arm, and bearing retaining but are reused, but nothing else.
