ignition switch wiring help
working on putting together my C2 resto.
the wiring schematic for the ignition switch shows pink, purple, red, and brown wires going to the switch. these 4 all go through a special plastic connector, and that is easy.
my ignition switch has a 5th plug, and the plastic wire ignition switch connector has a spot for it but there is no wire there. it is empty. the schematic shows a black ground. am I just missing this entirely?
also, there is a 12 gauge brown wire near the ignition switch but separate. Brown wires usually go to the radio capacitors all around. there is one on the dash just sitting next to the ignition switch, and it has a plug that will fit the brown wire hanging there. on the wiring schematic, it shows a brown wire in this area that connects to "radio capacitor conn"
i dont see any other special radio capacitor connector here, although it seems weird there would be a big brown wire coming through the harness just to go to a small lone capacitor here. it also is weird that there is no ground on the ignition switch when I got the car, it started and ran.
so, please help with the ignition switch ground wire and the lone brown wire hanging in the area
thanks so much!!

All that detail and you never state the year of the car - it matters...

My '63 has an empty ignition switch terminal and an empty spot in the plastic connector that mates to it (no wire there). If a '67 is the same then its perfectly normal...
