Without searching, art class suggests that black is the absence of light, but the mixture of all pigments when talking paint.

Daytona Blue for me also.......

Daytona Blue is mentioned several times in this thread, seems like a popular color. I don't know what the production statistics are but I wonder how popular a color it was in 63.

Ya know, its funny - I have a Lemans Blue 2007 Z06. They only offered Lemans Blue for the C6 in 05, 06 and 07. It is one of the lower production colors for each year BUT everywhere I go with that car most people tell me that is their favorite color.

Back on topic - While I'm partial to the darker blues, I think the 63 looks good in any color from that year.

About 20 years ago I was in the paint store and they had a front fender on display. The fender had been painted with a type of paint that which ever way you looked at it by moving your body you would see a different color. It was wild. If I was not so hung up on painting my car original color, that would of been the paint I would of used.

DAYTONA BLUE - HandsDown. First ride in a C2 was in 1963 in a 1963 split window that was Daytona Blue. It was a fantastic color on an unbelievable and now timeless designed Corvette

My 61 was white with a red interior and the Miami sun started to fade it into Chevy orange...That's the principal reason I went to black with the 62.......also ordered the 63 as all black......

So, I actually prefer Black....

Default 63 SWC Color

Haven't seen it listed yet, but I had my SWC restored with Sebring silver exterior, tan leather interior. I really like the combo.

I may be mistaken, but I believe leather was only available in tan in '63. I can see where that would be a attractive, rich and factory correct combination

Hard to believe there are so many lovers of blue. I rate blue down there with the brown or desert sand or what ever it's called.

You are correct. My Black coupe also came with the Saddle leather interior.
