This one will be Sebring Silver with a silver interior very soon...I do believe that is the best, (though non-standard)....

Color is important to me as well. I passed on a SWC about 10 years ago b/c it was saddle tan. When I was looking for a 65-66 years ago, it had to be silver. With that said, I love Daytona Blue too.

Silver is the coolest upholstery to sit on when it's sunny and hot and you're wearing shorts. White is also cool but shows dirt too easily!

I never gave it much thought until after I owned my 63 a few years, that triple black was not popular in the pre-air conditioning automotive world (in the pre-Bandit days).
Not too many triple black 63's, and my favorite with the blue/saddle/saddle a close second.

Frankie, did your car come from the North East? Back in the 80's talked to a guy who was selling a red 63 from Mass. or up that way. I was gonna go look at it to buy but went to Ca. and found the one I have today.

Amazingly, they are still in business in the same location and I've talked to the owner. Apparently, his grandmother sold the car to its first owner.
The car spent some time in the MidWest - but no knowledge of it being in New England

Silver was always considered an 'old mans' color or a non color.
they can look good with the right silver color.
A black 63 coupe would be killer. Let two go by, both owned by bro in laws. Darn!

We have talked about colors but if you were looking for a SWC and found one that was exactly what you wanted (except for color) had original drivetrain, no hit body, etc and even had a good price (not a steal but good price) would you let the color of the car stop you from buying.

My car was originally Riverside Red. Repainted it once same color. Beautiful in direct sunlight but it WAS a bit "orangey" under artificial lighting. And at burger cruises the lighting used for outdoor parking sometimes turned it "taco sauce BROWN"!
I saw a really RED C3 at Corvette Mike in Anaheim. Asked him what the color was, he said "Porsche Guards Red". Had the car painted that color, true red under all conditions.
But my favorite color is the rarest from '63 and '64, Saddle Tan. Looks like light brown sugar to me, and it emphasizes the body contours as well as Sebring Silver or Silver Blue. Light metallic colors don't seem to show polish marks as much as dark solids IMO.
