63 favorite color survey
#61
We have talked about colors but if you were looking for a SWC and found one that was exactly what you wanted (except for color) had original drivetrain, no hit body, etc and even had a good price (not a steal but good price) would you let the color of the car stop you from buying.
Wanted the split window

My SWC is Daytona Blue on Saddle Tan Leather, my '63 Vert is original Black on Red. Here's how they looked in 1989.
Both kinda rare color combos, I believe.

I still think that Tan/Tan is the Colour for a SWC.....

You describe what I was looking for, and White was pretty far down the list for me - it kinda looks like unpainted fiberglass to me.
BUT I found the car that was exactly what I was looking for except for the color however it did have a red interior, and I quickly acquired a fondness for it.
If I was a color first kinda guy like 6367Buyer, I would've been hunting for a black/ red - maybe would've found a good candidate and made it that color.
Saddle / Tan is a color combo that wasn't on my radar, never came across one when I was looking but have since seen several and they really look good to me.

It's the old..."blind squirrel and nut" thing. I happened to be in the right place at the right time with $$$ in hand.

I was talking with a few people over the weekend and the colors on the 63's came up.
My fav was the saddle tan.It just looks so distinctive and classy.
Just wondering what others find to be there favorites.
I will make it a little easier, the choices are Tuxedo Black, Ermine White, Riverside Red, Sebring Silver, Daytona Blue, Saddle Tan.

Just wondering why you didn't do an actual survey with the poll app. at the bottom of the page? it's easy to set up and you get an actual number so you can see what is most popular.
Next time.

Small wonder that everybody gravitates toward what they own.
The first '63 SWC I ever saw back in '63 was Daytona Blue, but it has never really been on my desired color list. Funny how tastes can change, though. 25-30 years ago you couldn't have given me a Saddle colored car, but lately I've really come around on them and think they're pretty striking. My previous SWC was Red with black interior, which I really liked, but would have painted it back to the original Silver if I had kept it, and really like that combo. But, my barn find is a Black over Saddle car, so now I have a new favorite.
