Default 63/64 dipstick seal

Is there available a new replacement seal for the 63/64 dipstick? I don't seem to be able to find anything but the whole stick. I really just need/want the seal as mine is falling apart from age!

I've had very good luck with o-rings. Pick a thickness that gives just a bit if friction between the dipstick tube and the oil pan tube. Its ok if the o-ring has to be stretched just a little to fit over the dipstick tube. The bead on the dipstick tube will keep the o-ring from sliding out of the gap between the tubes when they are assembled.

The Oring works fine and costs a few cents.

A piece of duct tape pulled over the handle would work too, for free. But he asked about where to find the replacement cap/seal. I was mistaken, it is Paragon part no. 9274 and you write the part in the notes. $2.

all you need.

Like Avispa said, match an o-ring that creates a slight bit of resistance when installing in the tube. Wet the o-ring with oil.

Didn't get anything with that number, but did find a repair kit. Something doesn't quite look right. Got to check the old part and compare what I'm seeing.

Thanks!
