looking for a picture of an early 67 steering column, specifically where the mesh from the bottom collapsable part meets the top?

when i took it apart the bottom bearing was total junk and it fell apart. so I did not get to see how the mesh interlocks.

Realized the mesh does not interlock

The mesh is broke off. Time to weld it back together

I had to spot my mesh together also. I also had to replace the plastic rivets that held the sliding shafts together.

I welded and put it back together last night. I will not be posting pictures of my welds
