65 Coupe barn find
Factory Blue/blue 300hp 4-speed. Parked in 1974. "Indiscriminately disassembled" in 2004. For example, the small C-shaped rear window corner moldings were in the same coffee can with cylinder head bolts. The headlight buckets had absolutely every piece separated from every other piece. They at least were limited to four different boxes. The car sat for years where all the parts are spread out. The parts were in the attic, on shelving, underneath Ram truck parts, etc. 3 of the 5 original wheels were under a lean-to, etc.
Sorry about the limited number of pictures: will get more next time there.

Been there, done that. Pulled a 66 coupe out of a storage locker last summer in pieces. It is amazing what people do with these things, paying storage fees for 25-30 years is just nuts.

I know where there is another 65 coupe in similar condition.
Was taken apart 25 years ago.
Of course, the owner will put it back together "someday".

The frame is under the car, acid-dipped, and painted with POR. Maroon interior is from a 66 coupe his uncle parted out. He's trying to figure out where the blue seats are.

Take the BBQ & head best response.
Youll be old and decrepit before you find every little piece unscrew everything to try and put it back together. BTDT NO WAY
Cool find too far gone imo.

I'm already old. but not decrepit. Played a senior softball doubleheader on Monday and another today. Can play in the 70 and older tournaments very soon.
Here are several other barn finds that I've found and purchased in the past 6 years.
The 70 is a 350/350 with 60k miles purchased from the original owner.
The 57 is being restored by a forum member in Missouri.
The 67 is an original-everything in the drivetrain car with tank sticker and headrest seats, tele column, California smog, speed minder, vinyl hardtop, etc.
All were within 20 miles of where I live.
The 65 would be the most challenging, however!
