65 seat covers
My '65 survivor currently has vinyl seat covers. The driver's side has some large tearing going on, and I'm thinking about some new seat covers. A few questions I have concerning the covers. Should I stay with the vinyl like the car had before or would it matter if I changed over to leather, which is what has been suggested by others. Also is there any difference in who sells them because the Long Island covers are $700 as compared to $619 from Corvette Central for leather and is this leather true quality? Thanks.

There are two major manufacturers of seat covers. Al Knock or Corvette America. Both offer a great product

Anything you use is not the original covers. When you say survivor have you had it to Bloomington to have it judged? That's there trademark term and no offense it's highly over used and abused. If you truly have to change covers I would try to find good used ones. If you can't find them buy covers in your choice.

The more you do the less original the car is. I never been to Bloomington so I have no clue. But I'm sure they have a manual to help you. If you do swap it out I would stay with what the trim tag says

Well, the bill of sale that's in the glove cpt says " new interior" not sure if they have already swapped the seats but the trim tag says vinyl and that's what's in there now but the drivers side has large tears and I do drive the car a good amount which is why I want to fix this.

You can find "used" seats in both leather and vinyl... if you wanted to keep it "survivor-y" which is my own trademark...
