I have removed my headlight switch to install the DSE headlight conversion and noticed that there isn't a ground wire on the switch body. The switch works but is there supposed to be a ground wire attached?
Although you didn't identify the model year you are working on, the answer from 56-67 is no, there is no separate ground wire to the body of the switch.
