Id leave it alone and drive it everywhere as is!!

Only scary thing is rusty frame?

No pics of it

To pull the body blast/paint do brakes, bushings etc toss the body back on would be perfection to me. Love the original aging relic look!

"For most enthusiasts, the 1963 Chevrolet Corvette split window coupe is the kind of classic you either love or hate. Some think the split window look is tough on the eyes..."

I have to say, while some people like other cars better and a lot of people are sick of hearing about these cars lately, this is the first time Ive even heard it suggested that a significant amount of people find the '63 coupe a car that people "hate" or is "tough on the eyes."

I do like patina cars too, but this one, with the completely wrong engine compartment, isnt the kind of car I could own without restoring. The rusted bumpers arent endearing, either.

My car came out of 30 year storage when I bought it and dirty carpets , etc just gotta be replaced.

Were the air shocks added before or after the left front corner was bondoed?

Not too bad though.

That car has a future of being turned into a $200K restomod.

Well, the first person who didn't like it was the Godfather of the Corvette, Zora Arkus Duntov. He hated it when Bill Mitchell first proposed it as a styling gimmick (kinda like the fake hood vents), lost the internal GM politics battle the first year, but prevaled and by '64 they were both gone.....

Ironically that is what makes them so popular now - the one year only production.

Good point I was in high school then we like it a lot of people did but always a butt people did put in larger 1 piece window . Then later people really like the split .

Zora might've been crossed eyed or something - it's not that big a deal to see out of. Zora was good at engineering and Bill was good at styling. The 63 was the product of when both had their way.

Valley auto. Ha!

This is no barn find. It's been in storage maybe since 2002?! My car would get half that dusty in the garage two seasons.

Hype!

That engine bay is atrocious...and as my esteemed colleague, Benton alluded, the car has been sitting since '02. Big deal.

Regardless of the pedigree of this car, I do not understand the point in leaving a car all nasty, dirty, and covered in mouse ****.

Do sellers think people really buy into this to "reinforce" the notion that it's really a barn find? If it's so legit, take pictures of the car where it was found, then get it properly detailed without disturbing the originality for potential investors.

Some might see patina or history, I see abrasive material needlessly sitting on paint and baking in the sun.

(Insert Wayne Carini joke here).

Jason,
I'm not familiar with the seller, my comment was directed at the "barn find" shenanigans.

<Rant off>

I was thinking the same thing. If you want to see real "barn find" dust, look at my avatar.
