Corvette clock vs. Rolex
I hate to admit that my newly refurbished '66 Vette clock is more reliable than my '72 Rolex Sub! Maybe I have more time than I thought!

I trust and use my iPhone, never my clock in the '67. Dennis

When was the last time you sent your Rolex in for service?

Sometimes the clock in my car runs backwards a little bit and then stops. Kind of endearing. I think it's trying to get back to 1967.
When it's running forward it's pretty accurate.

Y'all think Rolex will ever come into the 21st Century? Having one must be kinda like driving a Stanley Steamer.

I get my "X" serviced every 5-7 years, last time $900. Have owned it for 26years and still like it. Probably have more in service than original cost.
I took the clock out of my resto and filled the hole. Wanted to keep the upper AC vent and need the room for ducting and a better speaker.

I don't care about spending that much on a Rolex watch when I can have a Timex and never have it serviced (so I save $900.00) plus the price of the Rolex and if my $20.00 Times stops or keeps bad time I will spend $5.00 for a new battery and it don't work then there is always the file 13 and spend another $20.. for another Timex. I have had this Timex about 5 yrs and still have original battery in it and it keeps great time. As far as a Corvette clock keeping good time? well if you bought a 63 Vette you can pretty much bet by 1964 the clock did not work anymore. I had quarts movement put into one of my C2 Vette Clocks and that lasted less then 6 months before it crapped out. I just look at my good old Timex.

The dash clock in my 66 is never right.
It runs and might be able to keep time but I'll never know because I use a battery cut off switch and never bother re-setting the clock.

Will a Chevette do 180? Will a Rolex tell time?
